We Liked

The new Fototec Light Night lenses with variable tint technology (T-V) adjust rapidly to changing light conditions for superior clarity and protection are without a doubt the best all-around lenses for cycling I have used. The Light Night lens is perfect for changing light conditions with a 75 - 25% light transmission range, which will change from lightest to darkest or back in less than 10 seconds. In bright sun, microscopic photochromic particles embedded in the lens react to UV rays darkening the optics then with cloud cover, the particles return to their previous state letting through more light. No need to change lenses throughout a long training ride, or races when light conditions changed rapidly. More on Tifosi Fototec Technology and other available styles with Fototec T-V. Finding a Tifosi lens for every light situation is no problem, for more on Tifosi lens and frame technology.

The Tyrant frame is designed for small to medium faces and is available in six interchangeable lens versions and seven Fototec versions for a color and lens combinations to suite any light condition, style, taste and team kit coordination. Tyrant Fototec and Fototec Polarized models are available with one lens and standard Tyrant models are available with three interchangeable lenses. I received a second pair of Tyrants in Race Green with three interchangeable lenses Smoke Glare Guard 17% light transmission (LT) for full sunny days, AC Red 27% LT for partly sunny days , Clear 98% LT when all you need is eye protection like night riding. All of the Tifosi lenses are free of distortion, magnification and are very scratch resistant. The frames are indeed almost indestructible, I have owned 4 other pairs of Tifosi’s and have yet to break a frame or even crack a lens. The adjustable hydrophilic nose and ear pieces actually do stick to your face and ears when they get sweaty. Every pair of Tifosi’s eyewear comes with a durable good looking hard shell zippered case and cleaning cloth as well.

We Didn't Like

Nothing at all. More of a suggestion with so many lens options I personally get lost with what lens in particular I am installing it would be great to have the lens type printed at the top outer edge of each lens by the Tifosi insignia.

The Final Say

With Tifosi Optics you get high quality eyewear with many designs and lens options for any activity and styles to suite just every taste at a price that will afford you to express your sense of style as many times as the light conditions change. Tifossi means “Enthusiastic Fan” in Italian, I can say I am a enthusiastic fan of Tifosi Optics especially the Fototec Light Night Lens.
