The Final Say

As summer leaves us behind the days get shorter and the nights longer. When this happens you need a light if your going to ride at night and be safe. Your chances of getting hit goes down by 33% if you have a light on your bike. The Fenix BC21R is a pretty handy little light that packs a big 880 lumens and comes with 5 differentlight settings. If you are in the total dark the 880 will provide plenty of light. One unique feature that the light has is not how powerful it is but in its lens. Closer inspection of the lens will revealthat there are groves in the top 25% of the lens. So what is up with that? So its not how much light is thrown but also Where that light is thrown. The ridges are actually groves in the lens that redirect some of the light downward. Every time we get a light on our bike we are always looking to get the beam placement just right. We want as much light going down the road or trail but we also need to see what is right in front of us. We haven't seen this features on a light in all of our years. This dual light direction feature is on all Fenix light systems. If you don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a mega light system and need a light for commuting and training then you cant go wrong with the Fenix BC21R.
