We Didn't Like

All of the pockets are too small. There are 3 pockets on the back of this jacket. As a winter jacket I would expect it to have large generous pockets to carry extra food and other things. However we found that the pockets were abnormally small and difficult to get into with bare hands. This is impossible with gloves on. So that means for you to access the pocket and retrieve your food or phone. You will have to take your glove off to do it.

Not realy a slim fit. We found that the cut of the jacket was generous around the body and we would have probably done down in one size to get jsut the right fit.

The Final Say

Riding in the winter is hard to do and its only made easier with the right clothing. Gore has been making cycling clothing for bad weather for years. I particularly like their gloves and base layers. Gore is mainly known for water and wind proof fabrics. Known for Wind Stopper and Gore-Tex now recently Gore has added a new class of fabric to their line. This fabric is called Infinium and it makes a combination of water resistance, wind proof and warmth. The jacket comes in 2 high vis colors and three other regular colors if you don't ride in low light conditions. The Infinium fabric works really well and this jacket is very warm. So much so you can use it with just a base layer. The inside of the jacket is a waffle polar fleece fabric that traps all the heat that you produce while riding. The long tail will insure that your lower back stays warm and dry for any light splash. Sadly, the ONLY thing that we didn't like about this winter jacket was that the pockets are too small. So how small are the pockets? They are so small that you can only fit your bare hand in them and are the perfect size for a cell phone or anything smaller. Other than that forget it. We had such high expectations with this jacket. Sadly, Gore fell short to hit the mark. I wonder if the person that designed this was under 5 feet tall and didn't think gloves would be worn while wearing this jacket...
