CXBR Uses QR Codes to Bring Reviews Into Stores
QR Codes Offer Product Reviews for Consumers In Stores
Portland OR -13 January 2012 CROSS BIKE REVIEW.com is utilizing technology to help manufacturers and bike shop retailers use more product reviews in their stores. This week CROSS BIKE REVIEW.com has integrated QR codes into their reviews. QR Codes are those funny square pixilated boxes that you are starting to see in ads. QR stands for quick reference and they are to be scanned like a bar code with your smart phone.
The consumer will see the QR code on a garment/product tag or item signage as they are shopping. "Most people don’t know what a QR code is for and that is WHY we have “Product” “Review” on our QR codes" Mares said . Upon seeing this the consumer will most likely scan the QR Code and will automatically be taken to the review for that specific item. When a consumer is attempting to make a buying decision about a particular item, all they have to do is scan our QR Code and the review of that Bike, Jersey or wheel set will show up on their smart phone. The consumer then reads the review and makes their decision on the gear that best suites their needs. The Bike shop employee can also reference the review to the consumer. The QR Code gives the consumer a FAST and EASY tool to help make their buying decision right there saving TIME .
