Review: Nalini Cefalo Jacket

The Cefalo is a great jacket for winter riding or running. One of the first things that we noticed when trying it on was that it fit like a glove thanks to the athletic cut. This makes the Cefalo jacket a really nice and form fitting garment that moves with you in all the right places. As cyclists, we're not big fans of baggy jackets that flap in the wind, make noise, and create a lot of drag. Nothing says Italian like style! The graphics on the Cefalo are really cool and very stylish. We evaluated the White/Red color combo, and in hind sight, I should have chosen a darker base color for cyclocross. While this jacket does come in other colors, the white is so Euro. But hey, we do a lot of our training on the road too you know. Nalini's Cefalo jacket is wind proof and warm! The outer portion of the jacket utilizes RE-PET wind blocker material that is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The inside is a warm cozy brushed fleece lining. Personally, I hate being out on a training ride and not being able to warm up. If I wanted to be cold, wet, and miserable all of the time I would have joined the Navy Seals. It's no fun constantly shivering and you just end up being miserable. With the Cefalo jacket on your back, that is certainly not the case! It's like winter body armor!

We Didn't Like

We thought that the back pockets were kinda small. We would like to have bigger pockets so that we can stash our other cool Italian gear. Maybe even a front chest pocket that could hold a cell phone or iPod.

The Final Say

If you need a winter jacket and you want to be warm and look really good at the same time, the Nalini Cefalo is the jacket for you. With it's super high quality materials and construction, this garment will last you for years to come. Besides, Italian style never goes out! If you can't be fast, you might as well look fast.
